Boston Roofers Union (Local 33 Information)

The Local 33 Boston Roofers and Waterproofers Union is a professional trade union, composed of 759 members, that represents the interests of roofing contractors in Boston as well as the interests of their workers.

The Local 33 is Boston’s local chapter of the national United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, & Allied Workers. The United Union “is committed to promoting the highest standards of safety, training, and professionalism in the roofing industry.

As a member of the Local 33 union, you have access to three main benefits funds:

According to the Local #33 Benefit Fund Website the union’s Thrift Fund “supplements the monthly income payable from the Pension Fund, and to provide benefits upon death, disability, or termination of employment from the industry.”

Finances

Enforced by the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS), the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) necessitates the filing of annual reports by all labor unions, roofing unions included.
